Win Or Lose

I had a swim meet last night, and I’m not going to lie, I like to win. Though, that isn’t always the case, I have to practice a lot to win, just like anyone else. But, that isn’t the point, win or lose, just do your best. I didn’t win every event, but I did my best alone and in my relay team. Swimming is complicated, you are on a “team,” but once you get to a swim meet, it’s every man for himself. Though, win or loose you still have to have good sportsmanship whether it’s congratulating someone from your team or the other. If you win, don’t boast to the others, because no one wants to be on a team with someone who is full of themselves. Now I’m not saying don’t be excited if you win, but always congratulate the others, NO MATTER WHAT! Always tell them they did great. Also, don’t go behind their back and tell all your friends that they were horrible, that will get you a bad reputation and the person you were talking about will be hurt. Having good sportsmanship is a good quality to have.

Drippy Make Up

So I wear make up, but I also do sports. One of those sports is swimming, and I do NOT wear make up to go swim.We have early morning practices that start at 6:30 and I do know some girls that do their hair and make up every morning to come to practice and put their hair in a cap, and once they get in the water their make up drips down their face. I’ve got  nothing against doing make up or hair, even to go to early morning swim practice. Though, think about it this way, the time you are spending doing you hair and make up is time that you could spend sleeping. I personally would rather sleep than do my hair and make up for swim practice. But, I think it’s a personal choice,if someone wants to get dressed up to go to swim practice, then that’s them.
